Ambassador Hasmik Tolmajian, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the UN Office and other International Organizations in Geneva, met with Ambassador Nathalie Chuard, Director of the Geneva Centre for Security Sector Governance (DCAF), to explore ways to enhance cooperation in the field of security governance.

During the meeting, Ambassador Tolmajian congratulated DCAF on its 25th anniversary and expressed gratitude for its effective collaboration in the defense sector. She commended DCAF's support in advancing transparent governance and oversight of Armenia's security sector. Highlighting Armenia's role as a founding member of the DCAF Foundation Council, Ambassador Tolmajian reaffirmed the country’s commitment to democratic governance, the rule of law, and respect for human rights in the security domain.

Ambassador Chuard provided an overview of DCAF's ongoing initiatives and outlined present and future projects aimed at strengthening Armenia's security sector. She emphasized the significance of partnership with Armenia in addressing contemporary security challenges, rooted in a shared commitment to promoting peace and justice.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties reaffirmed their mutual agreement to maintain and deepen effective cooperation in the future.
