Ambassador Hasmik Tolmajian, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia meets with Volker Türk, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights

On January 3, Ambassador Hasmik Tolmajian, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the UN Office in Geneva and other international organizations, met with Volker Türk, United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights.

During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed in detail issues of mutual interest in the field of human rights.

Both sides highly appreciated Armenia’s close cooperation with the Office of the High Commissioner and stressed the importance of ensuring its continuity and further strengthening.

The Ambassador presented Volker Türk with the latest developments in the South Caucasus and regional security challenges, emphasizing the involvement of the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights and his office, especially with regard to the issues of the Armenian population forcibly displaced from Nagorno-Karabakh.
