President,

Armenia thanks the panelists for their insightful presentations. Notwithstanding the significant transformations in the past decades, Armenia has always prioritized its commitment for upholding fundamental rights for all its citizens.

We have made significant strides in recent years towards achieving SDG 10 on reducing inequalities within the country. One of our key achievements has been a steady decline in income inequality, as measured by Gini coefficient. This has been driven by targeted social protection programs that provide assistance to the most vulnerable, including women-headed households and persons with disabilities.

We have also made important progress in promoting equal opportunities. In education, we have achieved gender parity, with women now accounting for 69% of master's degree graduates. In the political sphere, the representation of women in our national parliament has increased from just 9.9% in 2017 to 35.5% today.

Moreover, the female labor force participation rate in Armenia stands at an impressive 52.7% - significantly higher than the global average of 39.5%. This reflects our commitment to empowering women economically and ensuring their full and equal participation in the workforce.

Armenia is committed to advancing social protection and reducing inequalities through a progressive taxation system and enhanced social assistance programs, particularly for low-income households and refugees. Despite the challenges posed by the influx of refugees from Nagorno-Karabakh, the country remains focused on achieving the Sustainable Development Goals, especially SDG 10.

Thank you
