“Market Focus Armenia” business forum was held in Geneva

On May 22 the Switzerland-Armenia Chamber of Commerce and Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services (CCIG) jointly organized the “Market Focus Armenia” business forum in Geneva. The event aimed at contributing to the enhancement of economic and business ties between Armenia and Switzerland and boosting investments.

Ambassador of Armenia to Switzerland H.E. Mr. Andranik Hovhannisyan, Ambassador of Switzerland to Armenia H.E. Mr. Lucas Rosencranz, Chairman of the Switzerland-Armenia Chamber of Commerce Mr. Mike Baronian, Director General of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Geneva Mr. Vincent Subilia, member of the Geneva Municipal Council Ms. Rusanna Tahverdian delivered opening remarks.

Deputy Minister of the RA Ministry for Territorial Administration and Infrastructure Ms. Christine Ghalechyan and Deputy Minister of the RA Ministry for Education, Science, Culture and Sports Mr. Alfred Kocharyan delivered key-note speeches.

The Foundation for Armenian Science and Technology and Primafinance, an Armenia based international accounting and finance service made presentations on Armenia. The Swiss NINECUBES, as well as SCHULER Caves St-Jacques companies shared their good practices on doing business in Armenia.

The forum provided an important platform to the representatives of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, Armenian enterprises, businessmen of the Swiss-Armenian community to display for the Swiss entrepreneurs the commercial opportunities of Armenia, priorities and needs in various sectors of economy, as well as the business environment and investment prospects.

 The event was followed by the reception which allowed the participants to communicate informally, exchange views on the possible areas of cooperation, as well as to establish personal contacts and engage in the expert networking.
