The meeting of the Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia With the Members of the National Council of Switzerland

On October 14, Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Paruyr Hovhannisyan received the delegation of the National Council of Switzerland composed of parliamentarians Stefan Müller-Altermatt, Michel Matter and Secretary General of Switzerland-Armenia parliamentary friendship group Sarkis Shahinian.

Welcoming the visit of the delegation of Swiss parliamentarians to Armenia in this period Deputy Minister Hovhannisyan expressed his gratitude to them for their solidarity with Armenia and the Armenian people. Paruyr Hovhannisyan particularly emphasized their contribution to the development of Armenian-Swiss relations.

The interlocutors discussed a number of issues on the Armenian-Swiss relations, including parliamentary cooperation.

During the meeting regional security and peace issues were touched upon. Paruyr Hovhannisyan briefed the Swiss parliamentarians the situation resulting from the aggression unleashed by Azerbaijan against the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia.
