Concert in Switzerland dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the Independence of Armenia

On July 30, the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia, as a guest of honor, performed a concert dedicated to the 25^th anniversary of the Independence of the Republic of Armenia at the international classical music festival in Puplinge, near Geneva.

Mrs. Hasmik Tolmajyan, Minister Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Armenia, addressed the audience with the opening remarks, stressing the importance for the Armenian people, having several thousand-year history, of the restoration of independent statehood twenty five years ago. Mrs. Tolmajyan also spoke about the traditions of the Armenian music culture.

The National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia, as well as a talented young violinist Diana Adamyan, performed several masterpieces of international and Armenian classic composers, including Komitas.
